That was going to be the next thing I tried. If this doesn't work, I would try NecroDaddy's suggestion of checking the Notes and Highlights web app and contacting Amazon customer service if your sync data isn't appearing. So, at least for me, it seems maybe this was a bug that was only affecting books I was currently reading. I also tested this with books I had in the Kindle cloud (mobi docs) but had not been reading previously, and those seem to be syncing fine without having to delete/redownload from the cloud on my devices. I don't recall that being an issue before, but I found the wait time can be eliminated if I open up the hamburger menu when I have a book open in the iOS Kindle app and tapping Sync. The only thing that seemed a little funky was that it took several minutes after going to a page on my iPhone in the Kindle app for the Paperwhite and Fire 7 to recognize it. After I got to the page, I went to the other two devices and it's syncing to the furthest page read now. Redownloaded the books from the cloud on each device.Īfter I did this, I tried going to a page on the Paperwhite, my iPhone and the Fire 7 using a different book for each test. I just figured it couldn't hurt to get all of my devices a fresh Wi-Fi connection. I have no idea if this part made any difference. Toggled each device into airplane mode and then back out. For anyone who is having this issue, I found a solution that is working for me!ĭeleted all the books I'm currently reading from each device. from the Home screen, at the top, press that little gear icon to enter Settings select More (the plus icon) from the long list of stuff, select Applications in another long list of stuff, find and select the Amazon Kindle app Now we have several options: Force Stop the app, clear its data, or clear its cache.
